Finally, I finished the book. Unfortunately, I was not happy about the ending. It was about a newly law school graduate Rudy Baylor, who is poor and thought that being alwyer was his way out of poverty. He defends a family (Black Family) who's son has been denied a bone marrow transplant by their insurance company. It was really interesting at first. I wondered who would win, because the lawyers of the insurance company were really hotshots and came from a big law firm, unlike Baylor who was only a new lawyer.
What I didn't like about the book was that, yes, fortunately, Rudy won the case and was able to get the BLack family punitive damages of 50 million dollars from the insurance company, .meaning that Rudy has one third of the 50 million dollars the Black family gets. But, the payment was never made because the insurance company got bankcrupt, because many people filed lawsuits against them. Plus, Rusdy fell in love with a girl Kelly Riker who was a battered wife, who's husband was killed by Rudy accidentally with a baseball bat. So the ending goes, Rudy ran away with Kelly and promised to never again be a lawyer. What a stupid ending!!!!So much for the much awaited twist and turns that never really happened.
