enchanted

Not all fairy tales do come true, because we are in the real world.
There is no perfect relationship in this world because like all things people change..

And there is no happily ever after...

Those are the lessons that I learned from watching the movie Enchanted. It's a great movie. like all girls I think all of us wants our prince charming to come and we will live happily ever after. We all want that, but sometimes love hurts and the prince charming we thought is the perfect man, sometimes turns out to be a monster in disguise.

The story was great andthe cast was awesome. I love Mcdreamy. It's really funny and you're going to learn a lesson.

student days...

Well im really sorry that lately this past few weeks I wasn't able to blog. I guess I couldn't find any interesting thing to write. Well, nag umpisa na ang staffing namin, meaning that we would have our usual hospital duty but without any clinical instructor around. It's really scary, I now appreciate having CI's around to help me. Sigh... I can't move around in tha area because I fear na I would commit a mistake, andwell we are dealing with lives here and I cant afford to make that mistake.

Speaking of clinical duties, ang ganda ng schedule ko. My entire night life is completely ruined because 2-10 pm ang duty ko. Not to metion that on my birthday I will also have a duty. Happy birthday to me!!!

Well..I guess ganyan talaga ang student life. Anyways, a few months from now, ma-mimiss ko din yun.

rogue assasin

I really was surprised abouit this movie. I didn't expect that it would keep me on the edge of my seat. I love Jet Li, and after the movie FEARLESS I was afraid I would never see him again because it was said to be that it was his last martial arts film.

Well..surprise..surprise...

The movie revolves on Japans notorious gangsters the Triads and the Yakuza's. In the middle of it are two FBI agent, Jack Crawford ( Jason Statham) and Tom Lone (Terry Chen). After they have encountered the mysterious Rogue Assasin and actually believing that they killed him, Tom Lone and his family was killed brutally by Rogue, their home was set on fire. Jack, becomes obsessed in killing Rogue to avenge his partner and get even.
After three years of complete disapppearance, Jack discovers that Rogue was back because of his trademark bullets that was made of titanium. Rogue (Jet Li), incites a war between the Triads and Yakuza's for no apparent reasons.Rogue, made it appear that he was working for the Triad, and kills the son-like man in the Triad, through it all, Rogue convinced that it was done by the Yakuza's. So in a tea house the two gangsters battle it out.
Rogue, killed the leader of the Triad, Chang (John Lone), following the orders of the Yakuza's. But Chang had a wife and a daughter, who Rogue didn't kill, which was surprising because he was known to be a merciless killer. By not killing the wife and daughter of Chang, Rogue didn't follow the complete orders of the Yakuza.
Jack, found out that Rogue had a plastic surgery to change his face, by a help of the doctor who performed the surgery. Jack, fortunately got pictures of Rogue killing the Yakuza's assasin and assisting the wife and daughter of Chang to escape. He handed this pictures to Shiro, who was the Yakuza's Leader. Rougue, delivered the golden horses to Shiro, Shiro orders his men to torture Rogue and to let him tell where the wife and daughter of Chang were hiding, little that he know that the golden horses was fake and one of them was actually a bomb. Rogue killed Shiro's men and sets off the bomb. Shiro and Rogue was finally face to face with each other.

Here's the twist...

Shiro, was surprised that Rogue would betray him after all this years, and so he asked why he did this. Rogue said that it was because of a killing Shiro ordered. Shiro wondered and asked which of the many orders was Rogue talking about. It turned out that it was the killing of Tom Lone and his family. Rogue, said that Shiro should have left the wife and daughter of Tom live. Shiro, was confused and surprised on why Rogue would care about Tom Lone and his family. Rogue revealed that he was Tom Lone and the man that the police found in the burned house was actually the true Rogue. And that day when Rogue went to his house and killed his wife and daughter, he fought Rogue and shot it in the face, and burned their house. So that he could avenge his wife and daughter, and by taking the identity of Rogue.

Another twist...

Shiro also confessed that Jack ( Jason Statham) was working for the Yakuza and that he was the one who betrayed him.after learning this Rogue killed Shiro by beheading him and sending his head in a suitcase to his daughter in Japan. Meanwhile, the true Golden horses was sent to the wife and daughter of Chang, enclosed is a letter coming from Rogue that says "Start a new life"

Rogue then called Jack to set up a meeting with him once and for all. Jack brought a sniper man and went to the place Rogue said. There the two battles it out, and at one end when they were face to face with each other. Rogue revealed the truth to Jack. He said that he was his partner Tom Lone and that he survived and killed the real Rogue asssasin. He undergone a facial surgery so that he could fully take the real Rogue's identity and also avenge his wife and daughter. Jack apologizes to him and asks if he could forgive him , he said that he only knew that the Yakuza would teach Tom a lesson but not kill his wife and daughter. Lone then says that Tom Lone is dead and that he is now Rogue. The Sniper man attempted to shoot Rogue but Jack jumps in the way, and Rogue shots him in the back killing him.

I was really happy with the story. I really like stories with a twist. And I love Jet Li. Jet Li rules, I love the way he likes to experiment his character in every movie. He doen't like being typecasted as only the Good Guy. Which is really what makes a great actor.

concerts in manila

Yesterday, Beyonce had her FIRST CONCERT here in the Phillipines. Unfortunately, I was not able to watch it NANAMAN!!!Haay..Like all the other concerts done here hindi nanaman ako nakapunta. It's really sad. Last September, my ULTIMATE IDOL. Christina Aguilera, also had her 1st major concert here, and I was not able to come. Two major reasons are: The tickets were so damn expensive, which I couldn't afford kasi I'm only a student and MY PARENTS wouldn't allow me to go there all alone, dahil baka daw mag-ka-stampede. WHATEVER. But I think, that's about to change dahil, well HOPEFULLY I'll be graduating this April, and HOPEFULLY, I will have a job. so sa susunod na mag-concert yung mga favorite artist ko dito. PUPUNTA AKO, KAHIT HARANGIN PA AKO NG SIBAT!!! Once in a lifetime lang yun, at baka di na maulit.
Well back on the concerts. Fortunately, some of my friends were able to come on both Christina Aguilera and Beyonce concerts. They told me na Christina was really a DIVA. She sang very well, her voice was way better when she sang live. She really was a SUPER BELTER.
On Beyonce, I like her too. And kanina when my friend was tellintg his experience sa concert, I was so jealous!!!Beyonce came here in Manila in her very own PRIVATE PLANE. Astig diba. Her concert venue and security took three weeks to complete. The NBC tent, in which party venue ng mga artista dito, was only a BIG DRESSING ROOM AND CATERING AREA TO HER. WOW!!!When I was watching this on the news, my jaws dropped. Ganun ka-astig si Beyonce. On the concert itself, Beyonce did not let the fans down. My friend said, she was a TOTAL PERFORMER. Every number was breath taking and mapapsayaw ka talaga. My friend was near the stage so he could see really see Beyonce.
haay......
Im so jealous. What if there wont be a next time to see my favorite artist live?? I hope that wont happen. I look forward to a brighter social night life for myself.

excited sa global carnival

I havent been this excited about amusement park rides eversince I was grade six. Until now, na natayo mlapit sa MOA ang global carnival na super ganda. At super affordable ng mga tickets. And most especially, napak-tempting pumunta dun dahil super lapit nun sa school namin. Kya naman, Im SUPER EXCITED to go there. I havent figure out when..but hopefully this december I WILL go there!!!Sana hindi hectic ang schedule ko sa december.
Unfortunately, the roller coaster their is not that big. I haven't ride a gigantic roller coaster for like 11 years. Naksakay lang yata ako ng SUPER GIGANTIC ROLLERCOASTER when we went to the States. At talaga naman, it scared the hell out of me!!I remember I even dared to ask my older sister na we seat in front of the roller coaster. Yes, ganun ako ka-daredevil. Buti na lang may sister didn't agree with me, so we sat on the 3rd seat. And by the way, hindi kami naka-upo, we were standing. Yup,that's how exciting it was. The whole ride I kept my eyes shut.
I want to go their talaga badly. Please!!!nNaman!!huwag hectic ang schedule!!!

THE RAINMAKER

Finally, I finished the book. Unfortunately, I was not happy about the ending.
It was about a newly law school graduate Rudy Baylor, who is poor and thought that being alwyer was his way out of poverty. He defends a family (Black Family) who's son has been denied a bone marrow transplant by their insurance company. It was really interesting at first. I wondered who would win, because the lawyers of the insurance company were really hotshots and came from a big law firm, unlike Baylor who was only a new lawyer.
What I didn't like about the book was that, yes, fortunately, Rudy won the case and was able to get the BLack family punitive damages of 50 million dollars from the insurance company, .meaning that Rudy has one third of the 50 million dollars the Black family gets. But, the payment was never made because the insurance company got bankcrupt, because many people filed lawsuits against them. Plus, Rusdy fell in love with a girl Kelly Riker who was a battered wife, who's husband was killed by Rudy accidentally with a baseball bat. So the ending goes, Rudy ran away with Kelly and promised to never again be a lawyer. What a stupid ending!!!!So much for the much awaited twist and turns that never really happened.
